Product Marketing

One of the biggest challenges for marketers today is that we are too often focused on the most tactical aspects of the job: promotion, contacts, reach, social marketing, etc.

But the most important part of marketing, the source of value, is our understanding of customers, what customers want, and how to explain product values to their needs and how they buy. 

This is especially important in B2B. Buying processes are complex.

Product marketing deals with positioning & messaging, pricing, product strategy, portfolio management, content creation, inbound marketing, sales enablement,  and much more. 

My fusion of an analytical mind and creativity, sense of humor and Dutch ‘down-to-earth’ approach, makes me well equipped to take on product marketing responsibilities for technology companies. My experience as product marketing manager, director, sr. director and vice president includes companies like Apple, Gateway and Sage as well as small and mid-sized businesses.
